A present made of research

FIAMM operates in leading edge sectors, and its tireless efforts to keep abreast of the times in matters of innovation and eco-compatibility, in order to respond to market changes and anticipate its demands, find verification in numerous confirmations of Quality at an international level: ISO 9001, ISO/TS 16949, 2002 edition, ISO14001. This is thanks to the excellence of our centers of development, quality and production (focalized in the technological center at Montecchio and in the research Polo in France) and in the agreements with numerous Research Institutes, first among many being the Italian University (CNR).

An increasingly closer future

FIAMM launches new challenges, such as renewable energy. A new company is born, FIAMM Energia, for the construction of power stations with photovoltaic panels in which to integrate systems of traditional cumulation and batteries of new technology, lead free, without maintenance, eco-compatibility and with maximum performance in environments of extreme temperatures. Batteries born to fulfil global objectives with regard to a better energy efficiency, together with the development of Oled technologies that allow a considerable saving of energy applied to general lighting and, in the automotive field, to anticipate the realization of interior lighting and ultrathin, efficient rear lighting. FIAMM also accepts the challenge of reducing CO2 emissions through the study of batteries by using the new AGM technology of internal gas recombination, created to support the new Stop & Start systems that reduce gasoline consumption up to 6%, and atmospheric and acoustic pollution, guaranteeing the efficiency of the automobile’s electric system, also in the event of the motor stopping. FIAMM also concentrates on guaranteeing safety with the development of new acoustic warnings and new antennas and radio-satellite systems, developed for GPS navigation and for Infomobilty, so that the automobile becomes an increasingly safer form of communication, as well as one of transport.
