The award, promoted by the Italy China Foundation and Milano Finance, is awarded to the companies that best know how to invest in the strategic development opportunities offered by the Chinese market, marrying business to growth in the socio-economic system as a whole. The jury, chaired by Cesare Romiti, officially awarded the prize to FIAMM during the course of an evening that was attended by entrepreneurs and managers of the most successful companies on the Chinese market. In particular, FIAMM distinguished itself with the important industrial project undertaken in Wuhan, a city with 9 million inhabitants on the Yangtze river that hosts the brand new plant for the production of industrial batteries destined for telecommunications use: a new generation plant able to optimise production and energy saving. It should be noted that the award ceremony also had a charitable end: funds were donated to the Lifeline Express project, which provides free ophthalmic surgery to the poorest, most desolate areas of China.
