FIAMM, in its capacity as lead acid battery manufacturer, is fully informed about the legislation, regulation and control measures defined by the Chinese Ministry of Environment, in order to guarantee respect for the environment, territory and safety of the people handling lead in our factory, as well as the people living in the neighborhood.

FIAMM has an ETHICAL CODE (http://www.fiamm.com/standard.php?s=594), that defines our principles regarding correctness, loyalty, integrity and transparency of our behavior, ways of operating and management of relations, within the company and vis-à-vis third parties.

FIAMM operates in a balanced way between economy, environment and society, well aware that a decision in one of these areas will have consequences for the other areas.
With regards to health, safety and environment FIAMM has a Group policy, which values are defined in point III of the ETHICAL CODE.

In the business of industrial batteries FIAMM has a world-wide presence, with factories in Europe (Avezzano Italy), China (Wuhan, Hubei) and in the USA (Waynesboro, Georgia).
In particular the Chinese FIAMM factory in Wuhan is certified ISO14001 (Environmental Management System) and OHSAS18001 (Workplace Safety and Health).

FIAMM regularly conducts Safety and Environment "internal audits" in all its factories; the Chinese factory in Wuhan has been visited by the local E-Bureau (Environment Office) that made a positive verification regarding the respect of legislation and regulation.

FIAMM confirms that there is no evidence or aspect of any kind that could influence the productivity at the Chinese manufacturing plant in Wuhan.
