Applications and Key Benefits

   - 2V cells with 80Ah to 2320Ah nominal capacity, designed for high and
medium rate discharge in a large variety of applications

Ideal for:

          • Switchgear

          • UPS systems

          • Industry

          • Emergency lighting

          • Power plants and distribution

          • Railway control centers and signaling

   - 15 years design life in float operation in temperature controlled environments

   - Excellent for high current discharge (1 to 60 min) and medium to
long discharge (2 to 10 hours)

   - 3-year topping-up intervals on float condition

   - Also available in dry charged version

   - 100% Recyclable

Applicable Standards

   - IEC 60896 Part 11 - vented types requirements & tests

   - BS 6290 part 2 - British Standard specification

FIAMM Manufacturing

   - ISO 9001 Quality Management System

   - ISO 14001 Environmental Management System

Technical Features

   - Thick positive pasted plates with cast grids in special low antimony lead alloy
     reduces loss of water

   - Negative plates with rugged pasted grid construction with a service life
compatible with the positive plates. The alloy and curing process are designed
to maintain the porosity of the active material during operation

   - Electrolyte of sulphuric acid with a specific gravity of 1.27 at 20°C when fully charged

   - Microporous plastic separators for best electrolyte utilization and lowest internal resistance

   - Cell containers are injection molded from high quality transparent SAN
(styrene acrylonitrile) for easy cell status inspection

   - Lids made of opaque ABS and permanently tongue-and-groove sealed to the container

   - Square cell terminal pillars in lead with solid copper insert for highest conductivity

   - High integrity post seal design prevents electrolyte leakage and terminal corrosion

   - Vent caps effectively prevent acid spray from the cell when "gassing" during
boost charge. Equipped with ceramic filter and bayonet lock to prevent errant
sparks or flames from entering the cell

   - Tin plated solid copper inter-cell connectors

   - Stainless steel hardware

   - External recombination plugs optionally available

   - < 2% self-discharge per month at 20°C allows 4 months shelf life

   - Optional seismic racks UBC zone 4
