The Communal Theatre of Vicenza.
In 2008, FIAMM chose to boost its strong link to the territory by supporting the Foundation of the Communal Theatre of Vicenza, inaugurated in December 2007, after fifty years of an important cultural city like Vicenza being without a theatre worthy of its name. The construction of the theatre, based on the project by architect Gino Valle and undertaken by the previous administration of Mayor Enrico Hullweck, who is currently chairman of the Theatre’s Foundation, was considered a great success due to the spread throughout Veneto of this city’s cultural life, rich with quality events. Since the bombing and destruction of the glorious Eretenio Theatre in World War II, the city has felt the need for a theatre able to put on great events capable of attracting large audiences.
The theatre seats nine hundred and has a stage adaptable to any art form. FIAMM is the 2008/9 sponsor for plays and music, and the main sponsor for dance. The theatre presents a particularly prestigious programme with national premieres, which invites companies of the highest levels and the best production from all over Europe. FIAMM is particularly proud of its energetic contributions to the cultural realities of the city via superb theatre, dance, music and opera. There will be complimentary tickets, concessions and discounts for all members of the great ‘FIAMM family’.
